Nia Kuumba hosts a variety of programs and events throughout the year. All events focus on encouraging and motivating through learning and fellowship. Signature events are described below.
Book Club
Book Club
Every 1st Sunday of the month Nia Kuumba invites friends and community members to engage in a book club. Occasionally, the book club is substituted with a film followed by a facilitated dialogue. Book clubs begin at 2:00pm.
Retired Professional Women's Luncheon
Retired Professional Women's Luncheon
Provides an opportunity for women to gather once a month (2nd Thursday) to fellowship and learn about a variety of topics including health and wellness, African American history, and financial wellbeing. The luncheon is held from 12:00pm - 2:00pm. Guests must RSVP, and a $10 donation is encouraged.
Prayer Group
Prayer Group
The scripture/prayer group meets every 3rd Thursday of the month at 7:45am – 9:00 am. This program is a great way to start the day through prayer, food, and fellowship. Meetings are held at: Uncle Bill's Pancake House
